Kathryn Sanger
Kathryn Sanger is a consultant in the litigation and dispute Resolution practice and a core member of the Asia arbitration group.
Kathryn has over ten years’ experience of commercial contentious work with a particular focus on arbitration.
She speaks and reads Mandarin and has a BA Hons from Oxford University in Oriental Studies (Chinese). Kathryn also has a PRC Law Diploma from Hong Kong University. She is a member of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre Council (HKIAC) as well as the HKIAC Arbitrator Appointment Committee.
Kathryn is often invited to speak at arbitration conferences, and in particular, on the subject of arbitration in Hong Kong and the People’s Republic of China.
She regularly assumes the lead role on matters and is closely involved with the management of a number of client relationships.
Examples of recent, relevant work include representing foreign investors in Hong Kong arbitrations in relation to a series of PRC joint venture infrastructure and internet/technology disputes, as well as advising a wide range of clients in respect of both PRC-related, and general commercial arbitration, issues. Kathryn’s practice also focuses on private wealth management disputes and regulatory investigations, and she regularly advises, and provides litigation (and regulatory) support, to international investment banks in relation to these and general commercial banking matters.
