Chong Yee Leong
Yee Leong has been practising for more than 20 years. He has extensive experience in international arbitration and litigation covering all aspects of commercial, energy and building disputes, with a focus on disputes arising from heavy civil engineering contracts, power, oil and gas, marine engineering and land transportation projects as well as professional negligence. He also advises on insolvency issues.
Yee Leong heads the international arbitration practice group at Rajah & Tann LLP and is concurrently the principal partner of Kamilah & Chong in Malaysia. He was a partner at Jones Day from 2003 to 2007 and headed the international litigation and arbitration group in Singapore.
Yee Leong is a member of the Law Society of Singapore, the Law Society of England & Wales, the Bar of Malaysia and the Academy of Law Singapore. In addition to being a chartered arbitrator, he is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. He was also a visiting lecturer at the faculty of law at the National University of Singapore, where he taught construction law from July 2000 to June 2002.
