Lucía Montes Saralegui
Ms Montes is an associate lawyer at Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira in Madrid. She is a member of the arbitration team, where she is specialised in international commercial arbitration, transnational litigation, and investment arbitration. Her practice involves commercial and investment arbitrations at the International Chamber of Commerce Court of Arbitration and the Madrid Arbitration Court, among others, as well as recognition and enforcement of awards in Spanish courts, including ICSID awards.
She has a Degree in Law (Licenciatura) from the Carlos III University of Madrid and a Degree in Business Administration (Licenciatura) from the Carlos III University of Madrid. She has also attended courses in Corporate Law and Governance at London School of Economics.
Ms Montes participated in the William C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot where she obtained the Frédéric Eisemann Award for the best prevailing team, as well as an honourable mention as individual oralist.
She is admitted to the Madrid Bar (Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid) and is a member of the Under 40 Group of the Spanish Arbitration Club.
She works in Spanish, English and French.
