Simon Walsh

Simon Walsh is an associate in the London office of O'Melveny & Myers LLP, specialising in international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution. Simon's recent cases have involved the off-shore, construction, aviation and maritime sectors. Simon has acted in arbitrations under the LCIA, ICC, VIAC and LMAA rules. Simon is currently acting in one of the world's largest international arbitrations involving the Polish telecommunications industry. His other recent cases include acting for an offshore construction company in a US$150 million arbitration under the ICC rules against a multinational oil company, and advising a leading insurance company in a professional negligence claim worth over US$100 million. Simon also acts for clients in the English High Court, where he has recently successfully defended a challenge to the jurisdiction of an LCIA tribunal under section 67 of the Arbitration Act 1996.

Simon is a graduate of Southampton University, and studied at the Institute of Maritime Law, where he gained an LLM in Maritime and International Trade Law. Simon is a member of the LCIA.
