RCTZZ’s main commitment is to provide timely and accurate advice to its clients. We develop our work in a wide range of areas of practice, primarily:

  • corporate law, including setting up of new ventures, investment projects and strategic alliances - the firm has a broad collective experience in international acquisitions, M&A and sale of assets, providing due diligence coordination, transaction structuring, including tax planning activities and other related aspects, from a venture’s inception to its closing, and further covering any post-closing matters that may come through;
  • insolvency law, including global debt restructuring, reorganisation proceedings and bankruptcy cases - the firm has been involved in a substantive number of major cases involving restructurings, reorganisations and out-of-court reorganisation proceedings, advising debtors and creditors (banks, high yield funds, etc);
  • arbitration, transnational litigation and ADR - the firm has a wide strong arbitration, litigation and ADR practice, at all judicial levels, including Argentine Federal Supreme Court of Justice and Appellate Courts. Members of the law firm were former commercial judges and have been involved in cases before ICSID, ICC arbitration, the Permanent Court of Arbitration of the Buenos Stock Exchange, CEMA (Centro Empresarial de Mediación y Arbitraje) and ad hoc arbitration committees; and
  • energy, infrastructure & utilities - our experience in the energy and infrastructure industry includes construction agreements (including EPC turn key contracts), O&M, long-term services agreement, assets transfer of ongoing industrial and energy activities. The firm’s members have also been actively involved in the state reform programme and in the bidding processes and privatisations that occurred in Argentina in the early 1990s. Counsel was provided to local and foreign companies and to operators in the process of deregulating public service companies, many of them within the energy industry. The firm has also vast experience in RFP and bid solicitations, termination of public contracts and contractual relations among private enterprises and the government (urban transportation, waste management, water management and treatment, dredging, communications and electrical power supply).

We assist in day-to-day company matters, covering both conventional transactional practice and new, modern business arrangements. Also, our corporate clients are provided with a number of additional services, such as collection, internal conflict resolution, and corporate documentation drafting services.
