Overview
Clifford Chance is a leading global law firm that offers full service legal advice to clients in the world's key financial and regulatory centres. With over 3,200 lawyers working out of 29 offices in 20 countries worldwide, and experience in both common and civil law, we are also a leading adviser on local law transactions and business matters. We aim to provide seamless global services to the world's leading financial institutions and multinational businesses, and offer depth and breadth of expertise in Asia, the Americas, Continental Europe and the UK.
The firm's practice is organised around six global practice areas: banking and finance, capital markets, corporate (including M&A), litigation and dispute resolution, real estate, and tax, pensions and employment law.
Asia
Our firm is a formidable and leading force in Asia, and the law firm of choice for complex and innovative transactions. Clifford Chance established its presence in Asia over 25 years ago and now has more than 360 lawyers in the region. Our lawyers in Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo provide advice to major corporations and financial institutions, practising both English and US law (and local law where permitted) and working in cross-practice, cross-border teams in order to provide clients with a uniquely integrated international service and a multi-jurisdictional perspective on the issues that they face.
Litigation and dispute Resolution
Clifford Chance has one of the largest litigation and dispute resolution practices in Asia, with an unrivalled reputation. Our dispute resolution practice aims to minimise the risk of commercial disputes for our clients and alleviate the stress associated with litigation when it is necessary. Many of the cases that we advise on extend beyond one jurisdiction, and we have considerable experience in dealing with cross-jurisdictional matters. We are familiar with conducting proceedings before courts and regulatory bodies in many jurisdictions in the Asia region and we are regularly the counsel of choice for arbitrations.
