Magisters has two dedicated international arbitration partners, one in Moscow and one in Kiev. In Kiev, Serhii Sviriba is the head of the international arbitration and litigation practice. He is Ukraine's member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. Sviriba and his team are often found defending the Ukranian state in investment disputes. The only work being undertaken for an investor is against another government (Russia's). The firm is co-counsel to White & Case in a US$100 million arbitration brought by a US radio investor (represented by Salans). In Moscow, the key person is Dmitry Dyakin. He has led the team there since Magisters merged with Legas Legal Solutions in 2006, which he created.
