Björn Gehle
Björn Gehle is a special counsel in the Clayton
Utz international arbitration group and has previously
worked for international firms in Frankfurt,
Munich and London.
Björn has advised and represented clients in international disputes
throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Australia.
He has considerable experience in conducting arbitrations under
various arbitration rules including those of the ICC, LCIA, ACICA,
DIS, SIAC and UNCITRAL. He has advised governments and
private-sector clients in relation to disputes involving major infrastructure
projects, including ports, railways, tunnels, hospitals, power
plants and pipelines. In addition Björn regularly advises clients on
matters involving international trade and foreign investment.
Björn is a founding member and current co-chair of the Australasian
Forum for International Arbitration (AFIA) and a newly
appointed member of the global advisory board of the ICDR Y&I.
He has been appointed as special associate to the Australian Centre
for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA) where he was
heading the drafting committee for ACICA's new international
arbitration rules.
