Bommel van der Bend

Bommel van der Bend is particularly well-regarded for his expertise on international arbitrations, complex construction projects and European public procurement law. He has represented multinational corporations in large and complex arbitrations conducted under auspices of some of the major arbitral institutions. Bommel is the co-author of an authoritative handbook on European public procurement laws. He is a member of the governing board of the NAI Dutch Arbitration Institute and a member of the Maasvlakte II Tender Board, an independent board of experts advising on a major land reclamation project in the Rotterdam harbour area. Bommel is advocate to the Bar of Amsterdam. He joined De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in 1992. He graduated from the University of Leyden and attended the Europa-Institut of the University of Saarbrücken (Germany).
