The Global Arbitration Review 100
The GAR 100 is a guide to the international arbitration capabilities of law firms. "100" is the number of firms included. It is a guide because we profile their arbitration histories. The 100 is also an "approved list", since it only contains firms that have been audited (by us) for the qualities of arbitral specialisation.
The 100 ought to assist clients in finding the specialist counsel they seek, and specialist counsel in demonstrating their expertise. GAR will be revising and releasing the 100 at the end of each year. As more law firms decide to offer a pure-arbitration service, it may grow beyond 100 firms. The figure was only picked because it sounded about right. But, even if it becomes bigger, it will always remain an approved list, one that includes only those law firms that have opened their arbitration books to us and that we've decided satisfy the three criteria: reputation, work and experience.
The GAR 100 is produced once a year, and distributed in print form to our subscribers.
